These are some installation shots of the piece, Portable City, as it was installed  in Rome.

The piece consists of a video which is approximately 5 1/2 minutes in length and then a "real" city which sits in the room and is lit by a flashlight. It asks the viewer to question what is real and what is constructed.

Made as a representation of a day passing in Assisi, the set was constructed entirely from wood given to me by Wolfgang Laib (and then stained).

These are two drawings from the Laib/Giotto series, pencil on paper, 14 x 18 inches each shown with a full page shot and then a detail. The drawings are done at actual scale to the wood remnants they depict.
